I think that you could get a job like you think Glenn, Austin, Cameron, and Anna can too. Having acting as a hobby would also be nice to get away from work and too have something fun to do. I think that you are a good actor and have improved a lot this summer by having a large role as Captain Shang.

Chynah, I think that you would make a great actress. You have a lot of emotional characteristics and the facial expressions you use with your character are outstanding. I think that you picked really good websites that tell the cold hard truth about acting. I think you have improved over the summer program.

Theatrical Career

A theatrical career that appeals to me is being a theater musician. One way I could become a theater musician is By Joining the AFM. It is easy and very cost effective. It takes a lot of hard work and sacrifice involved in starting a career in music. I have to practice all the time and many times I have to sacrifice something fun because I have made this commitment. But, in the long run it will be worth it if I get a career in music. In this course we do not have live music so I have yet to experience this on stage. I look forward to that opportunity in the future.

La Boehme

La Boehme is an opera set in 4 acts written by Puccini. It is one of the most frequently performed operas.The story is set in Paris around 1830.
It focuses on the love between the seamstress called Mimì and the poet Rodolfo. They almost immediately fall in love with each other, but Rodolfo later wants to leave Mimì because of her flirtatious behavior. However, Mimì also happens to be mortally ill, and Rodolfo also feels guilt, since their life together likely had worsened her health even further. They reunite for a brief moment at the end before Mimì dies.

I think your Hun costume is great. I like your wig and your ax. It suits your character very well. You do seem to do better when you have your costume on. I am really impressed with how well you know your lines,plus everybody else's.

I was sort of mad too about wearing all those cloths under the hot lights. I never knew the hats from keep'em guessin were from the number one. I think your costume looks great. I think you have improved your character by being in costume. I know you'll just keep getting better and better.

Costumes

I think the costumes are great. They fit my characters very well. Being in costume and makeup will help alot. With my costume and makeup I will stay in character better. The only flaw is all the buttons on the emperors costume.

Make-up

This play relies alot on make-up to describe who the characters are and what they look like. I think they did an incredible job on their make-up. By looking at their play I realize we need quite a bit of make-up for Mulan Jr. I also learned about some special make-up elements that could be applied to our show. To make a person look old they used foam latex prosthetics and stipple around the eyes and whitened the hair. This might look good for my part as the emperor.
